#AskTheExpert hello my 3month old son have poop only once for two days last week but four days before he poops 5times a day .he takes breastmilk only.is this normal or some infection.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day.
If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency oof the stool.
No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard.
It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age
