RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl11 months agoA. It’s a four month old child I don’t think so you need to push feed your child to take a feeding the child can sleep at a stage for 6 to 8 hours also in this age which is completely normal so there is no need to feed the child whenever your child wakes up your child would demand for a feed and that’s why you should feed your child
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy11 months agoA. For infants, the need for milk during sleep can vary based on age, growth, and individual needs:
1. Sleep Duration Without Milk:
Newborns (0-2 months): Typically need feeding every 2-3 hours, even during the night.
Older Infants (3-6 months): Many can sleep longer stretches (up to 6-8 hours) without needing a feed, but this varies.
6 months and older: Many babies can sleep through the night (6-12 hours) without needing a feeding, especially if they’re getting enough nutrition during the day.
2. Waking Up to Feed:
If your baby is sleeping well and gaining weight appropriately, it's generally fine not to wake her for feeds.
However, if your baby is underweight, not gaining as expected, or if your pediatrician advises, you might need to wake her for feeds.
3. Signs to Feed:
If she shows signs of hunger (rooting, sucking motions, fussiness), it’s a good idea to feed her.
Trust your instincts; if you feel she needs a feed, it’s okay to wake her gently.
4. Consult Your Pediatrician:
If you have concerns about her feeding schedule or growth, it’s always best to discuss with your pediatrician for tailored advice.
In general, prioritize her overall health and well-being, and follow her cues.
