#AskTheExpert hello doctor, we gave prevenar-13, PCV at 6 weeks to our son. Then we were supposed to give same at 10 weeks which we missed. Now at 14weeks vaccination can we give PCV again. And further how many dose we should give

A. Sir I didn’t get clear reply, it’s further confusing me. May be I have not put up clearly. As per chart attached Pneumococcal three doses are to be given, 6 weeks 10 weeks 14 weeks. You are saying 5 doses please let me know when to give 5 doses. My query is 6 weeks we gave Pneumococcal Prevenar-13. 10 weeks we didn’t give 14 weeks can we give now...??? After this shall we give more doses of Pneumococcal???

A. total ideally 5 doses are given .Immunization can be done if feasible for primary vaccination that is less then 1 yr of baby . But can be delayed for 14 days to 1 month for other vaccines . No problem in that .
