#asktheexpert Hello doctor , My son is 1 month 20 days old , from last 2 days a lump is coming and going in his groin area . Attaching image .. What exactly it is .

A. A perianal abscess is a relatively common condition in children. It mainly affects baby boys who are less than a year old, but can develop in either boys or girls at any age. A perianal abscess is a collection of pus just outside the anus. You may have noticed it during a nappy change or when bathing your child.
