#asktheexpert Hello Doctor , my son has stopped eating anything when he had fever. His fever was cured a week ago but still he refuses all kinds of food including his favorite food. we tried giving him a break from meals too but it didn't help. He has also lost 1.5 kilo weight. Can u please suggest what to do?

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. It's also very common for many infections that cause fever to cause a decreased appetite, too. As long as your little one is still drinking and peeing, not eating as much as usual is okay for most minor illnesses; no special diet is necessary.
