#asktheexpert hello doctor my baby is having cough problem very frequently and mostly night time coughing please give me any suggestions

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchtodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there pagracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good morning I would recommend that you should immediately start giving your child indirect steam inhalation at night before you put your child to sleep and you should massage with warm mustard oil on the chest
