Weight depends on the baby's birth weight and also weight gain by the baby.. babies can gain about 500 gms to 800 gms per month.. also babies tend to loose some weight after birth and then start gaining weight after a week or so..not to worry about the weight much if the baby is active and healthy otherwise..feed the baby well on one side till empty and then switch to the other side
try to exclusively breastfeed the baby till the baby completes six months
