#asktheexpert Hello doctor, Jibraan is now 14 months old and not able to stand and walk , but he can stand with means of support, and also not able to talk like other children's of his age . So what should I do for my baby

A. it is important to meet the doctor to get the child examined. milestones assessment of the child dneeds to be done which will tell whether the child is having any development delay or not. the child will be assessed fdor four major milestones that is 1.gross motor milestone 2.fine motor milestone 3.social milestone 4.language milestone.

A. By the age of 12 to 13 months kids can walk with support very properly and comfortably and independently by the age of 17 months if your child is not walking at all even with support maybe either your child is not gaining enough confidence to walk with support or there is some issue and also speech can be delayed sometimes after the age of two years it’s not a problem if your child is understanding and responding well but just to be on the safer side I do suggest you to check at least for the walk issue of the child that is there
