it s normal thumb sucking. Sleep is important for brain growth and development. For a good sleep baby should be well fed at bed time. Room should be comfortable and quiet. 
You can sing a lullaby or play some light music.
Can use swinging or rocking also.
Day night variations are quite common in babies and can be corrected by sleep training as per family schedule

Hello ma’am Keep telling your child over and over not to take come into the mouth or put something better like Neem or something like that with which your child will give up on this awful habit. Apart from that about beating also you’ll have to do the same keep cancelling your child and do try to figure out that why and what is the reason behind it that your child wants to hit the cousin specifically and nobody else I’m sure there’s a story behind it may be the cousin has also hit him before which is why it is doing the same so just at least try to figure it out what’s the reason behind it
