A. Breastfed babies often pass more than 6 stools per day. Until 2 months of age, they may pass a stool after each feeding. But, if stools suddenly increase in number and looseness, suspect diarrhea. If it lasts for 3 or more stools, the baby has diarrhea.Yes, if baby's breastfeeding, he could poop as often as after every feeding during his first six months. But it's also normal if baby's only pooping once every few days.Some breastfed babies have 4 to 12 bowel movements per day. Your baby may also pass stool after each feeding. If your breastfed baby is having less than three bowel movements a day, they might not be getting enough milk.
