#asktheexpert have just started giving some banana to my 6month old don't know why she is doing blackish potty till so far I'm just giving her formula milk and mashed banana. Is it ok to have such potty while starting solids.

A. the colour of stool can be black due to iron supplements you might be giving to the child or it may be black due to formula milk you might be giving or it might be dark in colour naturally. if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid there is no need to wodrry about the colour of the stool. if in confusion you can meet your doctor for clarification
