#asktheexpert Good morning..my son is on formula milk and I do breastfeed him ..My question is why he has a bigger tummy?

Formula milk is often more filling, so if your baby is drinking both types of milk, this might contribute to a slightly larger tummy.
Additionally, newborns tend to store some fat in their belly area as part of their natural growth process, which can give the appearance of a round tummy. However, if the tummy seems unusually hard or distended, or if your baby is experiencing discomfort, it might be worth consulting with your pediatrician to ensure that there are no underlying issues such as gas, constipation, or feeding issues.
