there is no such rule
you can give meals in 2 to 3 hours or more if baby is sleeping
give home cooked food

Whatever is comfortable to you I suggest you to start giving two meals per day and within the time of week to 10 days as per your comfort you can give free meals per day because ultimately we do advise you to train your child to have three meals per day which is a breakfast lunch and dinner so the early you start with your child is always going to be in a proper routine to eat it without any hassle
