#asktheexpert finger sucking by toddler. what can i do so thaymt the toddler dont put his fingers in mouth.

A. the toddler just don't stop taking the finger

A. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go . In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycolocygical cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities alsod spend good time with the child . In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

A. Neem Oil or face is going to be a good option to go ahead with because it is going to be bitter in taste and difficult for your child to accept so it is going to quite helpful for you to get rid of this over the period what is your any other idea then you can go for that as well
