#AskTheExpert does this denote umbilical hernia . recently son was operated with inguinal hernia so how come this came ? does umbilical hernia go on its own looking up at photo does it require immediate attention

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 2 months old and if his umbilicus is getting puffy after crying and it’s sounding like tummy then it’s an umbilical hernia but it doesn’t need any surgery it may fade away automatically as he grows up

I suggest you please consult with your pediatrician about this matter because physical examination of child is important for proper diagnosis and treatment
please keep your child cool and dry and maintain hygiene properly
