you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child
and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk.
if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping . x
there is no need to to go for fixed feeding pattern.
also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits .
also if the weixght gain of the child every month is normal then no need to worry regarding the pattern of breastfeeding
SanthoshiMom of a 1 yr 9 m old girl1 Year agoA. For formula feed as per the chart mentioned on the box of formula feed. Of your breastfeeding feed every dew hours and feed in demand too. Take care in the first 3 months, babies put on about 800-900grams each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it becomes 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age.
