#asktheexpert can I start cow milk for my baby, he is 8 months old but is 26 weeker baby, so his corrected age is 5 months.

A. Cow's milk should be given to the baby only after completion of 1 year of age because the protein and fat in cow's milk is hard to digest before that and many a times there could be cow's milk protein allergy in babies and lactose intolerance which could be severe sometimes. Also early introduction of cows milk can lead to iron deficiency anemia as cow's milk lacks iron and vit c . Atlso there could be micro bleeding in intestine because of the heavy protein of cow's milk .To start with cow's miilk should be given than gradually you can shift to buffalo milk or a packet milk which is a mixture of two .

A. Hi parents if necessary you can give A2 Desi cow milk to your Child it is good in taste and easily digestible and good for child growth and development please give daily massage with Babyhug massage oil
