#asktheexpert any recommendations for constipation for my 8 months old?

A. at this age the child should pass stool regularly. if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation. give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child it is important to give fibre diet from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits avoid giving more thhan 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined food adding papaya , fennel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.

A. hello you should try to give your child fibre rich food in the diet and include fruits especially banana and papaya which will help in the growth of the child and also help the child to get release from the constipation problem and try to give fluids well
