Ask a question#pediatrician neurologist #convulsions. my son is 6 years 7 months old. when he was five years old his weight was13kg. he first started coughing midnight he vomitted also and then he started shivering he started shivering so badly in midnight and then we took him to hospital. doctor gave him ibugesic which reduces his shivering and his fever lower down but when he was shivering fever was not there his body was cold but then later which he got convulsion at hospital. he was admitted there for 4 days. antibiotics was given and frisum . again later after 5 days he got shiver we gave him frisum tablet half and ibugesic. he didn't got convulsion at that time. but later we took him to hospital next day and doctor said because of infection he is getting this and later after that doctor gave treatment of valence syrup to continue. after 1 year and 6 months he didn't got any convulsions after that. but want to know if I have to consult him to a pediatrician neurologist????? I had already consulted him to a pediatrician. he said not to consult neurologist as that convulsions is only due to fever I am worried pls suggest me what shall I do ??and if this fabrile convulsion occurs again then will it affect his brain ?pls suggest and sorry for long question
