if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation.
give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child
it is important to give fibre diet from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits
avoid giving more than 400 ml milk everydayz and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined food
adding papayaz , fennel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.

After a baby reaches 2–4 months of age, they can have a small amount of fruit juice, such as 100-percent prune or apple juice. This juice may help treat constipation. Experts may recommend starting with about 2–4 ounces of fruit juice.
