Am tested positive for hepatitis b while am pregnant after my baby born he is vaccinated against hepatitis b with in twelve hours of birth.. scan I breastfeed my baby and should I check my baby for hepatitis b

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. yes aftee checking your viral load. better to show to a specialist and get the right opinion as soon as you can. In such cases you can talk to a doctor and get some blood tests done to reach to a conclusion

What is you get a check for yourself if you completely okay and the doctor allows you to breastfeed the child then only you go ahead with it otherwise as of now I would not advise you to go ahead with breast feeding the child you will have to wait for your doctor to give you confirmation onWrite Your Answer Here
