A Boy or a Girl? Does it Matter?

A boy child & a girl child have been treated differently by Indian parents since ages. A desire of having a 'son' rather than a 'daughter' is still there in most parts of the country, especially the small towns! Do you agree with this ? Did you also want a 'baby boy' when you were pregnant? Why do you think our society has this preference for having sons & how can it be changed?

healthy baby is more important than whether it is boy or girl. but noone can change some people mindset. so ignore it live happily.

It's highly matter -I'm the victim.
I'm a proudy mother of 18th months old sweet baby girl , bt since birth my close relatives made some insulting attitude &comments about my god gifted child.
Now they very casual & affectionate abot my child bt bt I never forget & forgive them which I do promise myself.

A Girl or boy should matter the most only when there's no female or male child in a family . But if this isn't a situation then any child which we gets should be welcomed equally .We are not the creators so we should not ruin the feeling of parenthood or a responsible guardians to the child.It takes lot of emotions ,dedications,expectations ,physical ability to bring up a child in this world .Why to become a monster to the little souls who are just born with their respective sex.

Not everyone gets the privilege of becoming parents. So if you are getting that chance, it should not matter if it is a girl or a boy. Accept God's gift without any hesitation

Yes, this has been going on since ages and is there in the recent times as well. The biggest change that needs to be done to bring a difference is changing the morals and values taught in the household. The culture and upbringing of a home affects the outlook of a person in a huge manner. And until the mindset remains the same, nothing can be changed.

Being blessed with a child itself is a big blessings why should we all discriminate in a sex .Firstly we all should treat all equally .this discrimination is not from the birth of the child but also in adults.we should ask ourselves Do we respect a women heartily,she carries no so many roles,she is a sister,mom,daughter,wife,there is a proverb women itself is the enemy of other women.
if we can i want to change this behaviour of all 🥰
