A Boy or a Girl? Does it Matter?

GENDER INEQUALITY Gender Bias in Parenting
A Boy or a Girl? Does it Matter?
A boy child & a girl child have been treated differently by Indian parents since ages. A desire of having a 'son' rather than a 'daughter' is still there in most parts of the country, especially the small towns! Do you agree with this ? Did you also want a 'baby boy' when you were pregnant? Why do you think our society has this preference for having sons & how can it be changed?

A boy n girl child same human being so we have to treat equally. No desire for son. daughters are better than sons.

For me I wished to have girl but gods plan is different we cannot change others thinking they certainly will change when they will know the value of girl and according to me both are equal and it is us means parents how we raise them

Most of the couple don't have babies ... So for me it's a blessing.. either it is girl or boy.. hardly matters in today's generation..

I don't think it even matters anymore to anybody.. the best thing about today's time is that any gender may it be a boy or a girl both of them are equally welcomed and greeted.. infact I myself being a daughter to a parent I can say girls are more caring and emotional for their parents and lucky are those parents who have a girl child in there life..

By looking at the child's smile forget all the worries whether it may be a girl or a boy.. It's just the stupid thinking of people... A girl can be said both " BETA n BETI" n she actually deserves it

I prayed for a girl child. and I luckily got the girl child. but she is very dark in color. me and my husband is in lighter shade.
Now, I am regretting why I prayed for girl child.
she is very dark. A boy will not be judged for darker shade whereas the girl child is judged by the society for her shade and looks😣
