Can a baby get his tummy full by sucking for 5 mins only after every 1 to 1.5 hr?
Hello everyone...my baby is 1.5 months old and is on exclusive breastfeeding...he sucks only for 5 mins and then sleeps for 1 to 1.5 hrs after which he sucks again for 5 mins only. His pee count is 6+ in 24 hrs,he poops once every three days.I am confused if his feeding pattern is normal or if I am short of supply..Please help.
Breastfeeding is boon both to mom and child, but it is not always easy specially with your first child. With overcoming initial difficulties of low breast milk and poor latch problems,I started donning the process and gaining healthy baby weight.I included Fenugreek, papaya, green leafy vegetables, carom seeds more in my diet to improve breast milk supply. And yes without family support, breastfeeding phase is tough and stressful, husband and inlaws totally supported me & raise my son better!!!
I am new mommy of 5 month old it's my first pregnancy I found after delivery that my nipples were not proper so baby was unable to latch properly and was crying a lot it was so stressful to me.nurse suggest me that with use of syringe I can bring nipple out I was doing it day and night and quite painful. I will advise everyone with problem like me use artificial nipples and eventually original nipples will be in proper position for baby to latch . don't stressed and get panicked ! .
Most newborns eat every two to three hours, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and they drink 1-2 ounces of breast milk per feeding. By the time your baby reaches 2 weeks old, this amount will increase to 2-3 ounces. Generally, you can tell your little one is eating enough if they wet their diaper every three to four hours.

As being a doctor I was knowing how important starting milk called colostrum to baby. but due to some complications I had to go through c section and I found my breast were not producing much milk after delivery this making me so much anxious even knowing stress worsen it but apart from being a doctor I was a mommy that time who just wanted best for the baby. I wanted to tell everybody it's completely normal to take time for things to get normal after delivery. Just keep calm !!!
