‘Wish You Were Here Mom’: Arjun Kapoor’s Message for Mom Mona Kapoor Will Have You in Tears!
Arjun Kapoor eloquently put his grief into words with a heartfelt post for his mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor on her 6th death anniversary.
It’s no secret that Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor was extremely close to his mother – the late Mona Shourie Kapoor, and it was no doubt heartbreaking for him when she lost her battle to cancer on March 25th 2012 and passed away days before the release of his debut movie – Ishaqzaade.
Recently, Arjun shared a heartfelt note on his Instagram for her 6th death anniversary, showing us a glimpse of just how much he misses his mom and it had us reaching for the tissue box

He stated, “As I was shooting by a canal today in Patiala wishing I could send u a picture of how nice the location was Mom I realised I never quite got to walk the red carpet with u to show u one of my films but I’m certain in the last 6 years u have walked every step of the way with me thru these 9 films Along with mine & Anshula’s personal journeys…wish u were here Mom so much has transpired so much where I would have looked at u for answers and looked at u to draw strength…I don’t know if I’m doing a decent job at it but I’m taking one day at a time and making each moment count trying to be a truthful reflection of u n ur teachings…can’t believe it’s been 6 years to the day but I have thought of u every breath I have taken pls smile spread ur warmth n positivity wherever u are cause god knows the world me and Anshula need it…love u forever and beyond…”
The post shows how one truly never gets over losing a parent, no matter how old you get. While today Arjun is an established actor, he still mourns the fact that his mom never saw him on the silver screen. However, he draws strength from the fact that she has walked with him in spirit and we are sure she is proud of the man he has become today.
