Shreya Ghoshal and Hubby Shiladitya Welcome Their Little Bundle of Joy!

Popular Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal welcomed her first child on Saturday, and is now the proud mom of a baby boy! She shared this good news with her followers via social media platforms Instagram and Twitter, stating that she, her husband, and their families are absolutely overjoyed. She revealed that this is an emotion she’s never felt before, and expressed her gratitude to the numerous blessings that came their way.

Calling her first child a “little bundle of joy”, the singer wrote on Instagram, “God has blessed us with a precious baby boy this afternoon. It’s an emotion never felt before. @shiladitya and I along with our families are absolutely overjoyed. Thank you for your countless blessings for our little bundle of joy.”

As soon as the good news was out, the new parents received countless messages from their friends and fans. Many from the music industry, including noted singers Neeti Mohan, Raj Pandit, and singer-composer Shekhar Ravjiani, congratulated her in the Comments section of the Instagram post.

Shreya has been regularly updating her followers on her pregnancy journey on social media. She had first announced her pregnancy on 4th March this year by sharing a photo on Instagram in which she’s seen cradling her baby bump. Her post read, “Baby #Shreyaditya is on its way! @shiladitya and me are thrilled to share this news with you all. Need all your love and blessings as we prepare ourselves for this new chapter in our lives,”. Her husband, entrepreneur Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya posted the same image on his Instagram handle with the caption, “Cannot wait to cherish this bundle of excitement coming up in our lives and a whole new experience to share with @shreyaghoshal.”

Shreya tied the knot with Shiladitya in a traditional ceremony on 5th February 2015, after being together for almost a decade. Shreya has won the National Award for the Best Playback Singer four times, and seven Filmfare awards, of which the most recent was for the song ‘Ghoomar‘ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2019 film Padmaavat.
