  • Part your hair then braid it on both the sides.
  • Try boxer braid or French braid if you want waves close to the roots of your hair.
  • Make sure the braids are really tight so that when you open it, your hair does not frizz out.
  • Wait until your hair is completely dry. Let the braids be.
  • You could also go to bed in these braids and undo them the next day.
  • Next day, undo the braids and comb your hair using your fingers. Use hairspray for a final touch.

  • Make sure you roll it upwards until it sits snugly against the scalp.
  • To secure the rollers you will not need pins. If the roller is not sticking properly then the reason might be that the section you have taken is a little thick.
  • Leave the rollers in your hair for a few hours or until your hair is dry.
  • Undo the curls and finger comb the hair. Finish it off with hairspray.

9. Pin curls

You can curl your hair with this option too.

What You Will Need

  • A Wide-toothed comb
  • A towel
  • Hairpins
  • Hair gel
  • A cotton scarf
  • Hairspray

Method

  • Wash your hair with a volumising shampoo and condition it. While you condition, detangle your hair with a wide-toothed comb.
  • Gently squeeze the water out using a towel.
  • Apply some hair gel or any product on your hair.
  • Section out the crown of the hair and secure it with a bun. You will be working on this section in the end.
  • Take a 1-inch section of the hair from the side. To create a loop, wrap the end around your index finger. Hold your hair in place using your thumb and index finger.
  • Start rolling this section upwards until it sits against the roots. Make sure that you are rolling the hair away from your face.
  • The rolled up hair must be secured with a pin. Your hairpins will leave indentations in your hair if the sections are too thick.
  • Repeat this rolling process for the rest of your hair. When you are done with the bottom, work on the crown until all the hair are secured in pins.
  • To keep the pins in place, wrap your hair with a silk scarf and go to sleep. The scarf is used to help absorb moisture from the hair.
  • Undo the curls in the morning. Only when the hair is completely dry, you should remove the pins. Do not use a blow dryer.
  • Once you have removed the pins, finger-comb your hair. Use some hairspray for a little extra hold.
