  • Cover the clothes of the kids with an apron or towel before playing with the slime. An adult T-shirt poses as a perfect apron, and the kid gets covered from all the sides.
  • If you are making slime at home, you can avoid using dyes or food coloring.
  • Instead of water-based you can use food-grade colors.
  • Water slime and soap flake are recommended to have stain-proof cloth.

Tips to Get Hard Slime Out of Carpet

While playing, kids may often drop slime on the carpet, and it may go unnoticed and turn into a hard slime stain. Some of the tips to remove the same are:

  • Gently scrape the slime with a spoon. The excess slime gets removed, and even the fabric is not damaged.
  • Apply white vinegar on the stain.
  • Let it remain on the fabric until it soaks the vinegar.
  • With the use of hot and soapy water, scrub the area with slime.

Can Putting Clothes Directly Into the Washer Remove Slime?

The slime does not wear off if it is directly put in the washer without getting treated. Some residual parts remain on the fabric, while some are transferred to other clothes. If slime gets stuck in the washer, then the clothes in subsequent washes may also get damaged. Therefore it is recommended to treat slime stains before putting them into a washer.
