Grilled Chicken Sandwich

This sandwich carries a great flavour kick; one that will compel even the naysayers to indulge. We’ll let you in on a secret – use thin bread to make the sandwiches. If thin bread is not available, buy a bread loaf and cut it into thin slices. Else, normal bread would also be just fine. Try this recipe on your weekend and keep your kids coming back for more.

Ingredients

  • 8 bread slices
  • 200 g chicken, boiled and shredded
  • Black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 50 g cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 10 g celery, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Oil for frying

Method

Step 1

In a bowl take boiled and shredded chicken, olive oil, black pepper powder, shredded cheese, salt and celery. Mix all the ingredients.

Step 2

Now make equal portions of the mix and make round shaped patties from it.

Step 3

Place these round shaped patties on a plate and keep it aside.

Step 4

In a pan, heat oil. Shallow fry these patties until they turn golden brown. Repeat the same procedure for the remaining patties.

Step 5

Now, grease bread with butter. Place the chicken patties between two bread slices.

Step 6

Grill the sandwich in the griller and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
