Cupcake liner flowers are easy to make in bulk and are a wonderful addition to any party decoration. They also work well as a beautiful bouquet in a jar and the easiest birthday crafts for toddlers to make.

Supplies

  • White cupcake liners
  • Magic markers
  • Color pencils
  • Gel sticks
  • Highlighters
  • Paper straws striped
  • Stapler

Instructions

  • To do this quickly, it helps to have a big table with all your cupcake liners spread out and the colour pens within reach. This could get messy so cover the table with a washable cloth.
  • Allow the kids to colour the cupcake liners however they wish. One color for each line works well but multi colours make them look funky.
  • Once they’ve finished coloring, stack sets of three liners one on top of another to be stapled to the straws. If your children are too young to use a stapler you can have them arrange the colored flowers while you staple them. On the other hand, if they can staple it, have them staple it parallel to the straw for a firm grip.
  • After stapling the flowers to the straws, crimple the first liner halfway and the second one a little bit to make them look more like petals. You can also experiment with adding more liners and using thicker straws to make a fluffier flower.
