• Cut out shapes of the house, including the windows, the doors and roof.
• Fold the house in such a way that it becomes a hollow cube and you have all four walls.
• Use glue and stick the walls of the house.
• Stick the cut out doors and windows. You can add more with the pencil or other colored pens.
• Fold the roof and add it on top of the walls.

Supplies

• Cardstock in the following colors-
  • Light blue
  • Red
  • Black
  • Light green
• Black paint
• Tiny google eyes
• 2-inch and 3-inch punch
• Pair of scissors
• Green marker
• Glue

Instructions

• Use your red cardstock and the 3-inch punch to cut out four circles.
• Use your finger and dab some black paint onto the red circles you just cut out.
• Feel free to make any dotted patterns you’d like with the black paint.
• Paint the dots to all the four circles cut from the red cardstock and set them aside to dry.
• Now, take the black cardstock, and cut out 4 circles, each with the 2 and 3-inch punch.
• Put some glue at the bottom of a smaller circle and stick it to a larger one in order to form the body shape of the ladybug. Do this with the rest of the circles, too. You should four ladybug body shapes now.
• Using the light green cardstock, cut out two big leaves for the ladybugs to sit on.
• Glue these leaves on to the light blue cardstock.
• Use the green marker and draw a line through the middle of the leaves.
• Glue the ladybug bodies on to the leaves and stick the tiny, googly eyes on to the ladybugs.
• Using the black cardstock, cut out four thin strips, bend them and attach them to the ladybugs so they look like the antennae.
• Once the red cardstock circles have dried up, you can start with the wings.
• Cut each circle in half and bend a small section at the top and stick it on the ladybug. It should look like the wings are in the air.
• Make the rest of the red wings the same way and you’re done!

3. Dinosaur Hat Construction Paper Craft

The unfortunate part about growing up is people stop asking you what your favorite dinosaur is. However, it is important to keep up with kids’ sense of wonder so that we can all discover the inner child within us. Most kids love dinosaurs and this dinosaur hat papercraft will definitely be a hit!

Supplies

• Green chart paper x 3
• A pair of scissors
• Tape
• Glue

Instructions

• Along the long side, cut four 1 inch strips from one chart paper. Two of these will act like your headband and two of these will have spikes attached to them.
• Take the other sheets of paper and cut two-inch strips along the wider side of the papers. These will be the spikes.
• Fold each strip in half and draw several triangles in a line.
• You may cut a template as shown in the video and trace it, too to make the spikes.
• Cut the out spikes such that there is a flat part in the middle of the strip for the spikes to be upright.
• Glue the spikes to the two long strips of paper.
• While they dry, use the other two long strips and create a headband big enough for your child’s head.
• Then, take one strip of spikes and glue it to the headband such that it goes over your child’s head.
• Then, glue the second strip of spikes such that it runs down your child’s back.

4. Construction Paper Flower Craft

Supplies

• Customized colored paper
• Green Colored paper
• Glue
• Scissors

Instructions

• Cut the colored paper into strips of at least 2 inches with a length of your choice.
• Take a strip and make a thin fold (at least 1 cm) along the length of the strip.
• Start cutting fringes along the width of the strip. You can cut them until the fold only. Keep the fringes considerably thin.
• Now, roll up each strip into a swirl all the way up the length of the fringe. Once done, keep it aside.
• Follow these steps to make some flowers.
• Use green paper to make the stem. Roll the paper diagonally, add some glue and secure it.
• Take a strip with the rolled fringes and apply glue all along its thin fold.
• Start wrapping it around the stem. Once you wrap it completely, you’ll see how pretty it looks.
• Make several such flowers.

• Different colored paper (Rainbow colors)
• Scissors
• Stapler
• Cotton

Instructions

• Cut one-inch strips along the width of each sheet to collect sets of 7 colors. You can cut multiple for many rainbows.
• Trim each strip one inch shorter than the other for each rainbow.
• Arrange the strips from the longest to the shortest; the shortest strip should be in the front.
• Then staple the strips together at the end where all the strip already meet.
• Then, bring the other ends together forming a curve.
• Staple the other end well.
• Now your strips should arch just like a rainbow.
• Stable the cotton at each end of the paper rainbow such that it resembles the clouds.

6. Construction Paper Fish Craft

• Small or large googly eyes
• White and/or black cardstock
• Scissors
• Glue

Instructions

• Cut out the shape of any fish from the cardstock and fold the fish in half. Or, you may follow the instructions given in the video to cut the fish shape.
• Fold the fish in half and draw a square from the bottom end without touching the sides.
• Using a scissor, cut slits from the folded part up until the top line of the square.
• Cut strips of the colored paper along the length.
• Open the folded fish cutout. Use the colored paper strips and weave them through the slits you made on the body of the fish.
• Trim the tops and bottoms of the strips so that they look like fins and have some symmetry.
• If you have extra paper lying around, use it to decorate the fish along with the googly eyes.
