It is cobalamin which is an essential part of the vitamins family. B-12 helps to strengthen the nervous system and prevents the risk of brain damage. It is crucial for maintaining the energy level in the body. This vitamin is responsible for producing DNA and red blood cells in our body. Lack of this vitamin may lead to harmful effects, especially for pregnant ladies.

2)Upset stomach and loss of appetite

You need to follow a strict diet plan. If you are not a vegetarian, then please do consume animal or meat products. However, if you are a vegan, consume yoghurt, eggs, cheese, milk, rice water, mushrooms and nutritional yeast. You can take B-12 supplements with the guidance of a good and experienced gynaecologist. In case of severe deficiency, your doctor may also prescribe injections.
It is of utmost importance that pregnant women take care of themselves and maintain all their vitamin levels. Do consult a doctor before consuming any supplements.
