Ragi Koozh (pronounced “cool”) is a delicious drink popular in India’s south. This summer meal, often known as farmer food, will keep your stomach cool and your energy levels up.
Ingredients
Preparations
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine one cup of ragi flour and one cup of water. Mix it for 3 minutes.
Step 2: In a pan, pour 3 cups of water to a boil.
Step 3: When the water is boiling, slowly add the ragi flour and stir continuously for about 10 minutes. After that, turn off the stove.
Step 4: Set aside for a few minutes to allow the ragi texture to cool. Take one new bowl and add some texture to it as needed.
Step 5: In that mixing bowl, add 3/4 cup curd or buttermilk, chopped onions, chopped curry leaves, a pinch of salt, and ginger and chilly paste.
Step 6: Stir the ingredients for a few minutes, then add water as needed. Finally, our yummy Ragi Koozh is ready to be served.
Tips: Serve it with mango and small onions to make it even more delicious.
Final Thoughts
These preparation tips came from my grandmother. One of the best traditional foods is Ragi Koozh. People nowadays prefer fast food products, so try to avoid them if possible, and take Ragi Koozh at least once a week.
