How to Make Squid Fish Curry for Meals and Tiffin

 

In Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where it is known as kanava and koonthal, squid fish is typically prepared for a midday meal. Calamari, another name for squid, has a tasty, mild flavour and, when cooked properly, a soft, juicy texture. Fresh squid bodies and tentacles that have been stripped of their viscera and thin, purple skin are sold. Whole or cut-up frozen squid is available for cooking.
How to clean
  • Remove the outer layer of the squid-like red colour skin.
  • Pull the head of the squid.
  • Remove the dark black part Like an ink bag without spreading.
  • Pull out the inner bone.
  • Cut the squid fish to the size you need.
Ingredients:
  • Squid fish
  • Cooking oil
  • Mustard
  • Curry leaves
  • Small onion
  • Garlic gloves
  • Tomatoes
  • Tamarind juice
  • Fennel seeds coconut
  • Coriander powder
  • Chilly powder
  • Roasted rice flour (if required)
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder
Procedure:
1. Switch on the stove and put a dish on the stove, and pour some cooking oil
2. Put mustard in it, add curry leaves, then put small chopped onions and garlic gloves.
3. Stir thoroughly, add tomatoes and stir it, then put a squid in it and pour some tamarind juice. Cook it for some time; we can prepare masala for it.
4. Take some coconut, fennel seeds, chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder. Grind it by mixing water and putting this masala into squid fish.
5. Cook for 5-10 minutes; add some water and salt in this curry, if you want thick squid fish curry, we can add roasted rice flood to the addition of it for the thickness and taste.
