Offer these fancy eggs to your kid and watch them disappear in a flash. It takes less than 20 minutes to prepare this spiffy egg recipe, and we are sure that it will be an instant hit. These eggs can go as a breakfast item that can be given to the kids before you get them out of the door for school or as a toothy between-meal bites, especially for those 7 pm hunger pangs.
|Serves||Preparation Time||Cooking Time|
- 4 hard boiled eggs
- 1 capsicum, cut into different shapes
- 1 carrot, cut into different shapes
- 8 whole cloves
- 100 g long noodles, cooked al-dente
Boil the eggs to a hard-boil stage. Let them cool and remove the shells.
Take one egg at a time, and with a knife make a small slit where you want to insert the capsicum or carrot pieces. (see the image for reference)
Push in the whole cloves to make the eyes.
You can take the whole thing a notch higher by preparing a nest for the chicks.
The nest can be made using long noodles cooked al-dente in salted water, and tossed with schezwan spices, available readily in the market.
Sprinkle a little lettuce, and sprouted legumes for added effect.
