Nutritious Valentine’s Treats for School
Kids love to celebrate Valentine’s Day in school with Valentine’s treats and food. Store-bought treats are convenient, and the stores have a wide range of Valentine-themed treats. However, as much as you want your kids to enjoy the day, you do not want them to eat junk food. The parent in you understands the value of nutrition and hygiene, so you need to use your creativity to make healthy and nutritious Valentine’s Day treats for school parties.
Use these easy Valentine treat ideas to make your kids’ Valentine enjoyable.
1. Cherry Cheese Dip
A delicious dip for your kids to enjoy with crackers.
Cherry pie filling – 20 oz
Cool whip – 8 oz
Marshmallow cream – 7 oz
Cream cheese – 8 oz
Vanilla – ½ tsp
Pour the cool whip, cream cheese, marshmallow cream, and vanilla in a bowl and mix.
Spread the mixture in a serving dish and pour the cherry pie filling.
Enjoy the Cherry cheese dip.
2. Oreo Pops
Oreo Pops are delicious popsicles covered with chocolate for a special Valentine’s Day party.
Double Stuff Oreo Cookies – 1 packet
Pink candy melts
White candy melts
Sprinkles (any colour)
Take an Oreo cookie and gently push a lollipop stick through it to make a cookie lollipop.
Repeat with all the Oreo cookies.
Line baking tray with parchment paper.
Melt the candy melts in a bowl.
Dip the Oreo popsicles in the candy melt and coat each pop well.
Place the popsicles on the parchment paper, and let them set.
Design the popsicles with candy melt drizzle and sprinkles.
Let the popsicles to set again.
3. Strawberry Love Bugs
These are cute little bugs made from strawberry and chocolate for a special Valentine.
Chocolate chips – 2 ounces
Bamboo picks or toothpicks
Wash and pat dry the strawberries and insert a small bamboo pick or toothpick.
Semi-melt the chocolate chips in a bowl.
Dip the tips of the strawberries in the melted chocolate.
Take a zip lock bag and transfer the melted chocolate to it. Cut the tip a bit.
Place the parchment paper in a tray.
Now pipe the melted chocolate from the zip lock bag to make antenna-shapes and let them set.
Then, with the remaining melted chocolate, make dots on the strawberries.
Draw take some melted white chocolate and fill it in another zip lock bag. Make a small cut in the corner of the bag.
Pipe out eyes, eyebrows, and mouths on the strawberry heads covered with dark chocolate.
Use melted dark chocolate to attach the antennas to the strawberries.
Cut out some strips of paper and tape them on toothpicks. Write messages on the strips and skewer them in each strawberry bug and your Lovebugs are ready!
