Creative Jellyfish Craft Ideas for Children
Jellyfish are marine animals with umbrella-shaped bells and trailing tentacles who swim freely across the sea and oceans or are anchored to the seabed by their stalks. With all kind of creatures that we know to inhabit the underwater world, this incredibly unique creature doesn’t actually have a brain, heart, bones or even eyes. Its mouth is found in the centre of its body. It has gone into space, can clone itself and don’t get entangled though they have super long tentacles. Jellyfish are commonly known as Medusa, the evil woman in Greek mythology who had offended the goddess Athena who had, in turn, changed her hair into snakes and made her look hideous. Low in calories and fat, rich in protein and collagen, some species of jellyfish are consumed as seafood and are used as an ingredient in various dishes. Edible jellyfish is harvested and consumed in several Asian countries as it is considered to be a delicacy.
